After he received his bachelor’s from UNCG he moved to Gainesville, FL and became the varsity Track & Field Head Coach at Newberry High School. Joseph joined CrossFit back in 2015, started coaching in 2016 and took his talents to Conquest in 2017..
AS A COACH:
Health and fitness has always been a passion of Joseph’s and he's extremely excited to share his passion with you.
His favorite movement is the Clean & Jerk.
Least favorite? Handstand Walks.
Favorite thing about coaching? Watching members crush their goals
IT'S ALL ABOUT BALANCE:
When Joseph is not coaching he’s either traveling, exploring new restaurants, playing with his Yorkie Gandalf, or spending time with his incredibly supportive family.
What are 3 facts we do not know about you?
I love playing video games.
I went to school to be a nurse.
I want to own a dwarf bunny.
ADVICE TO ATHLETES:
Advice you would give to members?
Technique and repetition of movement are far more important than speed, volume, and intensity. We all want to be the best, finish, first, and/or lift the most weight but without a solid base we are asking to be injured.
"When I started CrossFit back in January of 2015 I had no idea that it would become one of the best decisions of my life. I’ve never been in better shape and nothing brings me more joy than helping others achieve their health and fitness goals.” - Joseph Ioia
